This book is a great tool for parents and teachers when it comes to answering questions about different cultures and families. Every family is very unique and special and no one family is the same. Children are very curious and interested in why some families are different colors or have different traditions. This book helps explain all of this in a way that even the youngest of children will understand.

Discussion Questions:

1. What are some things that your family does that might be different from other families?
2. Ask each student what is in a family or who is in a family?

Motivational Activities:

Have your class draw or make a  picture of their family.
Have each child tell you a story of their favorite family time. Help them to illustrate and make their own book representing this favorite family activity.
